Our dear friend, Dallas/Fort Worth local folk singer Michael Harrison, has been diagnosed with throat cancer. His medical team is guardedly optimistic about his recovery. Michael is preparing to fight for his life. And the treatment itself will leave him unable to work for most of this year.
Michael and his music have uplifted and entertained us, and now we have our chance to return the favor. Knowing that months of radiation therapy and chemotherapy for throat cancer can be both emotionally and financially devastating, we are resolved to help Michael with his fight.
Come out for a great time in a good cause! Friends of Michael have planned a benefit concert at Trinity Hall, Mockingbird station: four solid hours of traditional Celtic and American music. All proceeds, contributions and CD sales during the concert will go to help Michael and his family.
